1. According to Article 40 of Trademark Law of the People's Republic of China and Article 33 of Regulations for the Implementation of China Trademark Law, the renewal application shall be filed within 12 months prior to the expiration for next 10 years validity. A six-month extension may be granted if the renewal application fails to be filed before the renewal due date. The validity of each renewal of registration shall be ten years, counted from the next day of the due date. Failure to file the renewal before the end of the grace period will result in the cancellation of the registration.
2. Renewal certificate can typically be obtained within a period of approximately 4-6 months from the date of filing.
3. Renewal certificate is issued in an electronic format.
4. Documents required for renewal Application in China:
1) The scanned copy of the executed Power Of Attorney;
2) The scanned copy of official identification document of applicant, such as: Certificate of Good Standing, passport, ID card etc.
