1. The renewal application should be filed during the 6-month period prior to the expiry date. Please note that as the regulations of the UKIPO, the renewal application may be filed during the six-month grace period after the expiry date by paying an additional charge of £50 of the official fee. Failure to file the renewal before the end of the grace period will result in the cancellation of the registration. However, if the trademark has expired for more than 6 months but less than 1 year, the register may submit a written request for reinstatement with explaining the reasons for failing to file the renewal application on time and paying £100.
