1. The renewal application should be filed during the 12-month period prior to the expiry date. Please note that as the trademark law of Korea, the renewal application may be filed during the six-month grace period after the expiry date by paying an additional charge. Failure to file the renewal before the end of the grace period will result in the expiration and cancellation of the registration. The Korean trademark may be partially renewed. The applicant may give up the unused categories when submitting the renewal application, thus reducing the cost accordingly.
2. The renewal information will update in the KIPO website about one week after the renewal application is submitted.
3. KIPO does not issue a Certificate of Renewal Registration, but the renewal can be confirmed through the Trademark Register.
4. Documents required for renewal Application in Korea: Clear scanned copy of signed POA (power of attorney).

Official Fee:
Official Fee(Per Class) | Per mark in one class: US$273(include taxes) KRW310,000 + KRW9,120 |
Per mark in multiple classes: (include taxes) KRW310,000 x amount of Classes + KRW9,120 |
Official Fee(number of goods/services) | If the number of goods/services in any class exceeds 20 items, an official fee of KRW2,000 will be added per excess item |
For a 5-year term registration, an official fee of KRW1,000 will be added per excess item |

1. The South Korean won is used locally in Korea, but the invoice will be issued in US dollars. The above quotation is for reference only, the actual cost will be based on the fee actual incurred and the exchange rate at that time;
