1. Malaysian trademarks may be renewed by filing an application 6 months prior to the expiry date. Under the Malaysian Trademark Act, renewal can be filed 6 months prior to the expiry date and is valid for 10 years. The grace period is 6 months and a trade mark that has not been renewed after the expiry of the grace period may be revived within 6 months from the expiry date of the grace period.
2. Renewal certificate for trademark in Malaysia can be obtained around 2-3 months from the date of filing.
3. The renewal certificate is issued in hard copy format.
4. No document is needed for renewal application in Malaysia.
