1. The recordal of change for trademark registration refers to the change of the name, address, seal, representative, agent, etc. of the trademark. As for any error caused by typo, the applicant should submit the application of correction. The pattern of a trademark and its designated goods or services cannot be changed after registration because it directly affects the scope of validity of the trademark rights. However, the reduction of the designated goods or services does not substantially expand the scope of rights to the goods or services designated, therefore such application is acceptable.
2. Documents required: scanned copy of the Power of Attorney; scanned copy of the official document which could prove the change
Points to Note for Signing Power of Attorney:
1) Stamped by the company seal, if any;
2) The particular signing date is required;
3) Handwritten signature with the name of the legal representative is required;
4) The power of attorney does not need to be notarized or legalized;
5) Please be advised that we can use the scanned copy of the document to file application for now. And possibility exists that the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office (TIPO) examiners would request to check the original POA, we will inform you immediately once we receive such requirements. Please kindly keep the original copy well preserved.
3. Costs
（1）Official Fee and Chang Tsi Fee：TWD500/mark
（2）VAT：According to financial policy, based on all the above costs, a value-added tax of 6% will be charged.
