1. The renewal application should be filed during the 6-month period prior to the expiry date. As the law of the Colombia, the renewal application may be filed during the six-month grace period after the expiry date by paying an additional charge of the official fee.
2. Renewal certificate for Colombia trademark will be issued in around 1 day from the date of filing.
3. Electronic renewal certificate(s) will be issued.
4. Documents required for renewal Application in Colombia: Simply signed POA (power of attorney).

Recordal of Address Change: In the case trademark owner’s address has changed, it is recommended to change the address a few days before the renewal so the renewal certificate can be issued with the current address considering that the local TMO takes around 3-5 days recording the change of address..
If the address needs to be changed, Official fee is USD 16 per mark, and 19% VAT will be charged.
