1. The renewal application should be filed during the 6-month period prior to the expiry date. During the 6-month grace period after the expiration of the registration period, an application for renewal can still be made, but twice the renewal fee must be paid. Failure to renew the registration within 6 months of expiry will result in the invalidation of the relevant trademark.
2. Documents required: scanned copy of the Power of Attorney.
Points to Note for Signing Power of Attorney:
The specific signing date and year together with the title of the signee are required.
Please be advised that possibility exists that the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office (TIPO) examiners would request to check the original POA. Please kindly keep the original copy well preserved.
