1. The renewal application should be filed during the 6-month period prior to the expiry date. Please note that as the Trademark Law of DPR Korea, renewal may be applied in the grace period of 6 months. Renewals are valid for 10 years.
2. Renewal certificate for trademark in DPR Korea can be obtained around 2-3 months from the date of filing.
3. Renewal certificate(s) is issued in the form of paper.
4. Documents required for renewal Application in DPR Korea:
1) Power of Attorney duly signed by the holder of the trademark (Notarization or legalization NOT required);
2) Scanned copy of Certificate of Registration of the Trademark. (Originals are not required in this pandemic situation.)
